Homegrown Midfielder Edwin Cerrillo Departs FC Dallas

Just a few hours after announcing the signing of a new player, FC Dallas has announced the transfer of homegrown midfielder Edwin Cerrillo. Cerrillo will be joining L.A Galaxy. FC Dallas got 200,00 in GAM for the 2023 season in this transfer. They can earn more. They can earn another 400,000 from L.A Galaxy if Cerrillo meets performance goals. They will also earn if Cerrillo is transferred again. Cerrillo's departure is a good move for both the club and the player, even though it's hard to see him leave. Cerrillo came up through Dallas' youth system and signed for the first in February of 2019 at eighteen years old. He was the first homegrown signed during the Luchi Gonzalez era.
