Charlotte FC v Real Salt Lake Preview

(Pic credit: polski-sport.pl)

Charlotte FC are on a 3 game unbeaten streak(1 win and 2 draws) going into Salt Lake City this weekend. Since my last article we've seen Vinicius Mello finally get some minutes, Kamil Jozwiak find a bit of form and a Ben Bender goal.

RSL Preview:

Charlotte have drawn their past 2 matches. 1-1 to Red Bulls at home on 2 weeks ago and 2-2 against Toronto away last week. Charlotte looked much better against Toronto than they have in any of their other matches so far and are somewhat unlucky to not have got a win in that match. Charlotte led in possession, total shots and had an xG of 1.65 to Toronto's 0.86.

Charlotte FC record: 1-2-3

Real Salt Lake record: 1-0-4

Charlotte absolutely have a chance to go on the road and get a positive result once again. Real Salt Lake haven't scored a goal in their last 2 matches and are ranked 25th in goals scored per match. Their leading goal scorer is defender Justen Glad who has scored 2 goals so far this season.

Every week its always interesting to see which lineup and formation Lattanzio will go with. Kamil and Vargas both looked good last week. Vini Mello has added a spark everytime hes been subbed in so far. Copetti and Swiderski are both still looking to really find their form. Jaylin Lindsey has looked solid so far with the chances hes been given. Afful has also been great as well.

Jefferson Savarino is a player to keep an eye on for RSL. He's a proven goal scorer who has 29 career goals for RSL. Another player to keep an eye on is Damir Kreilach. Hes another player who has historically scored a lot of goals for RSL and has been a great asset for them. I think Charlotte goes on the road and gets a win this week. Things are looking a bit more up lately and RSL just dont seem to have things together right now.
