FC Dallas hosted Austin FC for the first time in Major League Soccer last Saturday, August the 7th. Szabolcs Schon put on a "Man of the Match" performance in the 2-0 victory and assisted on both goals. Leftback Ryan Hollingshead and striker Jesus Ferreira both scored their second goals of the season.

The Goals-

The first goal came at nearly the 50th minute. Schon found an open Hollingshead just outside the box. Schon, who was deep inside the box, passed the ball to Hollingshead who shot it past several Austin defenders and past Austin goalkeeper Brad Stuver.

The lead was doubled in the 62nd minute when defender Nkosi Tafari picked up the ball after a bad touch by an Austin player. He passed the ball up the field for Schon. The winger then crossed it across the box where Ferreira was waiting. He easily slotted it past Stuver to make the score 2-0.

Next Matchup-

FC Dallas will continue their home run with a game against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, August 14th at 7:30pm. The match will be their second against SKC this season. Dallas earned a 2-1 against them in late July with goals by Paxton Pomykal and Jesus Ferreira.
