Today FC Dallas winger, Paul Arriola was named as May's MLS Player of the Month. FC Dallas had a busy month, playing a total of six games, including a U.S Open Cup match. Arriola played all but one game, the U.S Open Cup loss. In the regular season, Arriola started every match and scored, pushing his goal total to seven for the 2022 season. Arriola is the first Dallas player in eight years to win the award. The last player was Mauro Diaz in March of 2014. In that month, he played four games, nearly playing every minute, scored twice, and had an assist. (https://www.fcdallas.com/news/mauro-diaz-wins-etihad-mls-player-month)
