FC Dallas return to Toyota Stadium tonight to face top Eastern Conference team the New England Revolution. The match will be a challenging one for Dallas as New England have only lost once in ten matches, drew twice, and won seven.

Dallas' main concern will New England's captain Carles Gil. Gil is currently leading Major League Soccer in assists with ten. Fabio of the New York Redbulls and Joao Paulo of the Seattle Sounders are tied for second with five. (

In addition to Gil, Dallas will need to find a way to shut down forwards Gustavo Bou and Adam Buksa. Both have four goals, which is double of what Dallas' leading scorers have. (

New England's defense will be hard to beat as well. Matt Turner, their goalkeeper, has three cleansheets and is seventh in MLS in saves with 34. Dallas ' attack has struggled this season. They are third from the bottom in MLS for goals, with nine. They sit above the Chiago Fire, who have seven, and Austin FC, who have six. (

Dallas have four players who are unavailable. Matt Hedges, Kyle Zobeck, and Beni Redzic are injured. Hedges is listed as having a hip injury and the club has been very quiet on how long he'll be out. (

Redzic was reported as having ankle surgery earlier this week. His recovery time is estimated to be around six-to-eight weeks. (

Szabolcs Schon is still in Europe. Hungary was elimated from the Euros, so he should be available in Dallas' next game.

The Formation-

In their last game, Luchi Gonzalez employed a three man backline. The third centerback took away a midfield spot, which left Dallas without a way to connect the defense from the offense. At home Luchi has used a 4-3-3, so it's very likely that he'll return to that formation tonight.

Bressan and Jose Martinez have been the main centerback pairing this season. Justin Che made his debut in their last game. Garrett Melcer, FC Dallas' own reporter, teased a possible look at Che as rightback. If he does start there tomorrow, then it would allow Ryan Hollingshead to move back to his natural leftback spot.

As for midfield, Bryan Acosta and Facundo Quignon have been Luchi's go-to options whether he's used a two man midfield or a three man. Andres Ricaurte is Dallas' main playmaker so far this season. He could return to the starting lineup tonight to give Dallas more options in the attack.

Paxton Pomykal rested in last Wednesday's game, so a return to the starting lineup as left wing seems likely. Jader Obrian has not played great recently. Jesus Ferreira has returned from his injury and could see time as a right winger if Ricaurte plays in the midfield. Finally, Franco Jara could replace Ricardo Pepi as striker. Pepi scored in last weekend's game against Minnesota United but was unable to produce anything in their match against L.A FC.

Score Prediction-

Dallas has been in poor form and it doesn't look like they'll get out of their rut anytime soon. Although they have been okay when playing in Frisco, this game feels like a 1-0 loss. They'll play defensively all game, only to give up a late goal.
