FC Dallas will face the Portland Timbers for their 4th match of the season tomorrow night. Currently the Toros hold a 1-1-1 record and sit at 8th place in the Western Conference, just one spot below the playoff berth. The Timbers on the other hand hold a 1-2-0 record and sit at 6th place.

Nico Estevez and his team earned their first win last week in a 2-0 game against Nashville in Toyota Stadium. Their goals came from veteran player Franco Jara, who scored on a penalty kick, and newcomer Alan Velasco, who also made his debut in that match.

Jader Obrian is the only other Dallas player to have scored this season. Defensively the club has improved. The backline of Matt Hedges, Jose Martinez, Marco Farfan, and Ema Twumasi (Nanu started over him in the third match) has just allowed one goal from the run of play. The only other goal scored against Dallas came from a penalty kick scored by 2021 league MVP Carles Gil in their 1-0 loss against the New England Revolution in their first away game.

The Timbers have scored four goals so far, two from Yimmi Chara, and one from Dairon Asprilla and one from Bill Tuiloma. They've conceded three goals, one from a corner and two in open play.

Prediction-

3-1 FC Dallas, brace from Jesus Ferreira and goal from Alan Velasco:

Dallas has the home field advantage. Jesus Ferreira hasn't scored yet. He should be hungry, especially after their 2-0 victory last weekend. Velasco was excited and ready to sub on last weekend and made the most of his 26 minutes on the field. The lone Portland goal comes from an unfortunate freekick given away too close to the box.

Fantasy Players-

Thre players to consider for fantasy teams, Marco Farfan (cheap option at 5.6m and scores an average of 6.00), Alan Velasco, and Jesus Ferreira.

The game will be played at 7:30pm in Toyota Stadium of Frisco, Texas tomorrow night.
