FC Dallas announced on March 9th that they had traded the College Protected List rights of Cal Jennings to Los Angles FC. In exchange for Jennings MLS rights, FC Dallas received LA FC's natural third round pick of the 2022 SuperDraft. In addition to the SuperDraft pick, Dallas will see additional incentives should Jennings meet certain performance-based metrics with his new club. Cal Jennings was selected by FC Dallas with the 17th pick in the 2020 SuperDraft. Unfortunately for Jennings though, Dallas was stacked with forwards in early 2020 and he was never able to secure a contract with the first team.

Jennings landed with USL Championship club Memphis 901. He became the team's top scorer with 9 goals in 14 appearances. In December he transferred to USL-C club Indy Eleven. (https://3rddegree.net/fc-dallas-in-trade-with-lafc)
