Yesterday FC Dallas officially signed Super-Draft pick, Nicky Hernandez. (https://www.fcdallas.com/post/2021/03/22/fc-dallas-signs-2021-mls-superdraft-no-15-overall-pick-nicky-hernandez)

Hernandez was selected 15th overall in the draft held back in January. (https://www.fcdallas.com/post/2021/01/21/fc-dallas-selects-dfw-native-nicky-hernandez-15th-overall-pick-2021-mls-superdraft)

He was already familiar with the culture at Dallas, having played with their 2nd division team, North Texas Soccer Club. (https://www.fcdallas.com/post/2020/09/12/north-texas-sc-signs-midfielder-nicky-hernandez)

Nicky Hernandez will be under a two year contract with Dallas, with club options for 2023, 2024, and 2025. Nicky is the second player from NTSC to sign for FC Dallas, the first being forward Ricardo Pepi. (https://www.fcdallas.com/post/2019/06/21/fc-dallas-signs-26th-homegrown-player-ricardo-pepi)

During his time with NTSC, Hernandez played in 9 games, scoring 3 goals and registering a single assist.

He has primarily played in the midfield, a position that was stacked for Dallas but could see some thinning this year due to the Olympics and World Cup Qualifiers. Fellow midfielder, Bryan Acosta is a mainstay on the Honduras National Team, and it is possible that Tessman and Pomykal could play in the Olympics. Brandon Servania, another midfielder, is on a short term loan with Austrian club SKN St. Polten. (https://www.fcdallas.com/post/2021/02/09/fc-dallas-loans-homegrown-brandon-servania-skn-st-p-lten)
