Columbus Crew Unveil "Stunning" New Performance Center; Announce Naming Rights To "New Crew Stadium"

It seems like everything in Columbus is getting a makeover. First, the Columbus Crew went through a total rebrand, and with the help of the clubs supporters, were able to find a compromise after a turbulent few days. On July 3rd, The Crew will be opening up there brand-new, state of the art stadium near Astor Park, which will be renovated and turned into an outstanding community based place. On Monday, June 7th, The Crew would have their first training session at the state-of-the-art facility, that houses the entirety of the Columbus Crew operations. including the First-Team and the Academy teams.


This new training facility for the defending MLS Cup Champions is on par with those that are considered the best in Major League Soccer. The new training facility comes equipped with 3 full-sized fields, and includes another half-sized pitch.


With the opening of their brand-new state-of-the-art stadium less than a month away, it is the perfect way to let the MLS world know that the Columbus Crew are here for a long time, and plan to be big players not only in MLS, but throughout the world as well.


Tuesday, June 15, 2021 the Columbus Crew front office announced the naming rights to the New Crew Stadium. In a press conference at the new OhioHealth Performance Center, they announced that Lower.com had secured the rights to the stadium, now being named Lower.com Field. Lower.com is a company local and Headquartered in Columbus. The Crew open up Lower.com Field July 3rd against the New England Revolution, with Kick-Off scheduled for 5:30 pm.
